I just launched This (it's so fun to say, trust me!) online, after spending the better part of the summer researching, making, and, best of all, testing recipes for the past few months.

So what is This?

This is all-natural skincare, handmade in the USA in tiny batches. Each jar is numbered by hand. NO: Parabens, waxes, fillers, chemicals, unpronounceable things (unless you count ylang-ylang, that one's tough).

Expect ultra-luxe body melts (insanely moisturizing body butters that melt onto your skin) powder-based scrubs and masks that will cover your face with kisses, in the form of soothing clays, dried flowers, and other special ingredients, and more for hair, body and face. Everything is designed to multi-task, pack the most into every drop, and go a long way with a little dab (and lower shipping costs, i.e. powder-based masks vs wet ones).

ABOUT A COUPLE OF THE INGREDIENTS:

Shea is pretty much a miracle butter. It is known to heal skin, even skin tone, and is even thought to slow hair growth, reduce the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks, and boost collagen production to help minimize scars and keep skin bouncing back. 

Coconut Oil is a delicious anti-microbial, blocking bacteria and extending the shelf-life of products sans chemicals. It has a bad rep as cloyingly sweet (false!) and overpowering (wrong!) thanks to cheap-o, artificially-scented mass-market lotions and potions, but the real stuff is smooth, clean and low-maintenance. OH, and it’s also an all-natural sunblock - it’s got a natural SPF of 4-7, so it’s not bullet-proof against the sun’s rays, but it’s a good, all-natural start.
