Fashion News Recap: Men's Fashion Week, Margaux's Bespoke Ballet Flats, The Divisive Rue La La Equality Tee and More

The hottest happenings from the past week? Check my Fashion News column at Bustle.com. Here are the top headlines. Hint: Taking selfies just got easier (and chicer), Givenchy's runway had sky-high highs (winged eyeliner, lilac lace, Kendall, Candice and Naomi) and very low lows (inmate fashion, men in skirts), and Bonobos is running the most apropos fundraiser ever.

Weekend T-Shirt

Lobo Mau and its ferocious mascot are becoming something of a cult symbol in Haddad's native Philadelphia, and with fans as far away as Cali and Brazil, I anticipate that the wolf will reach icon status soon - glad I snapped this tee up while I could!

Shades of Hawaiian

Summertime strolling in the Boston Commons. For this casual afternoon look, I opted for chic sportif in a breezy Hawaiian print tank top, track pants that are kicked up a notch with a leather waistband, and a tropical baseball cap to keep the sun in check - and my hair in place.

Sunday Best

I tend to wear yoga pants like, a lot. But I can safely say I'm equally at home in a silk dress, even if it's just for an impromptu stroll through the South End. Although I'm just real-estate gawking and stoop-sitting this weekend, I can't wait to take this dress out for a summer wedding, baby shower, or rooftop cocktail party.

WTF, Merriam-Webster?

Merriam-Webster has given 1,700 words and phrases their nod of approval, incorporating lingo like "jeggings", "sharing economy", and my personal favorite, "vocal fry", into the dictionary for 2015. Surely, "twerk" is a crucial addition to our vocabularies, and, society.

Women + Whiskey

Last month, I went to a whiskey tasting event. Two hours, three pages of handwritten notes - front and back - and six pours of whiskey from Ireland, Scotland, Kentucky and Japan later, I feel like I could walk up to any mixologist behind a mahogany-paneled bar and hold my own in a convo about the "Water of Life".

Sachin & Babi at Neiman Marcus

Together nearly twenty years, Sachin and Babi met at FIT, and have worked with Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, and Armani as a B2B embroidery company. In 2011, they started their own line of RTW and evening wear, and the modern-day Alice in Wonderland ball gown from the current collection is just one of many pieces you need to see (and touch, and wear) to believe.
